Biographical
Mr. Phillips is Director of the ADR Skills Program and Distinguished Adjunct Professor at New York Law School. A well-known figure in dispute resolution both regionally and nationally, he served for nearly ten years as Senior Vice President and Interim President of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR Institute). During that time, he earned a reputation as an author, teacher, industry liaison, and systems designer for the avoidance, management and resolution of complex business conflicts. He is the author or editor of four books, including "ADR Handbook for Business Lawyers" (ABA 2016), and wrote and co-produced four films on the use of mediation in corporate/community conflicts that were awarded Best Publication by London's CeDR. He is Chapter Author for three books, including "International Mediation" for Roth et al., Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Guide (West 2021). He specializes in mediations and arbitrations involving franchise, insurance, employment, securities and general commercial matters, as well as conflicts in faith-based communities.

He is Director of the ADR Skills Program and Distinguished Adjunct Professor of Law at New York Law School and a frequent teacher, trainer, lecturer and presenter at law schools and professional associations in the United States and internationally.

Rates Information
$450/hour for most commercial matters; $350/hour for most court-appointed matters; daily rates upon request
